Department 56 has come out with a "Village" of one of our favorite Christmas movies: A Christmas Story. Based upon the novel by Jean Shepherd, this story has touched the hearts of us all and inspired the hilarious classic film starring: Melinda Dillon, Darren McGavin and, the child prodigy, Peter Billingsley. Those of you who have seen the film so many times that you practically know it by heart will recognize all the items that will be made available to you: the Chop Suey Palace, the Chinese waiters singing Fa La La La La, the Fire House, the leg floor lamp with shade, the "deranged" Easter Bunny, the infamous flag pole incident, Higbee's Department Store and the Cleveland Elementary School, just to name a few.
