When you select a category from our site you should see thumbnail images of the products along with product names and pricing. Clicking on these thumbnails should bring up more product details and a larger image. If you can't see these product images, you probably have Norton Internet Security installed. A quick Google search will show that the "Ad Blocking" component of this software has been the source of some frustration because it tends to block images that are not actually ads.
While there may be a way to whitelist just one site to avoid this blocking or otherwise fine tune the settings, our tests weren't successful with this. Feel free to contact Symantec support for more information, otherwise the following has proven to be a successful remedy for many people. Note: this information is provided "As Is" and we take no responsibility for any problems that may occur should you decide to make these changes.
The following was designed to be used with Norton Internet Security 2004, but should be similar in other versions.
1. Open Norton Internet Security 2. Select Ad Blocking 3. Click on "Turn Off" to the right 4. Close Norton Internet Security
Browse to http://www.collectorvilleusa.com and images should now appear. You may need to Refresh the page first.
Alternate method to retain the pop-up blocking function of NIS (probably not necessary if you have Windows XP SP2 installed):
1. Open Norton Internet Security 2. Select Ad Blocking 3. Select "Configure" to the right 4. On the configure page, uncheck the box next to "Ad Blocking" 5. Click OK to save changes 6. Close Norton Internet Security
Browse to http://www.collectorvilleusa.com and images should now appear. You may need to Refresh the page first.
If the second procedure doesn't work, use the first, however you may notice more pop-ups if you do not have Windows XP SP2 installed. |
